Vision to Vision

Founder

Vision to Vision is a non-profit NGO dedicated to conducting eye camps for underprivileged children in Delhi government schools. We have conducted over 43 camps for 16,000+ students, distributing 1,600+ spectacles. The project has been funded by ICICI Foundation and logistically supported by the India Vision Institute. It has also been endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education, Delhi.

VISION TO VISION APP

Lead Developer The app provides a way for users to check their eyesight at home and obtain information about their approximate eye power. It has been developed on Android Studio using Java for the backend and XML for the frontend. The app has been Adopted by the Ministry of Education, Delhi Government, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and implemented in over 100,000 government and government-aided schools in Delhi.  It currently has about 350,000+ downloads.

Independent Researcher

“Vision to Vision: An Accessible Approach to Standard Ophthalmic Exam” is my research paper that explores the accuracy of the Vision to Vision app in determining eye power, compared to a standard eye test. The vision to vision app demonstrated an accuracy rate of 88%. The paper has been presented in Innosphere International conference by SigmaXi . It has also received the Crest gold award by the British Science Association and is currently under publication.

DRISHTI: Ek Nayi Disha

Director and scriptwriterDirector and writer of a documentary on my project, Vision to Vision, which chronicles the journey of the initiative. The documentary delves into the details of each camp and features personal stories, highlighting the impact and progress of Vision to Vision so far. I won the Best Student Short Film award at three international film festivals and officially selected for screening at over seven international film festivals.
